Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy describes how KBWorks ("we", "us", or "our") handles information when you use Idle Legacy ("the Application") on iOS or Android. By using the Application, you consent to the practices described below.

Age Requirement

The Application is intended for users aged 13 and older. By using the Application, you confirm that you are at least 13 years of age. If you are under 13, please do not use the Application.

Information We Collect

Data collected automatically:

• Device IP address
• Application usage duration and session timing
• Mobile device operating system and device type
• Crash reports and error logs (via Firebase Crashlytics)
• Notification preferences and delivery scheduling (stored locally on your device; not transmitted to our servers). If you grant notification permission, the Application may send local reminders about in-game events. You can withdraw permission at any time via your device Settings.

Anonymous session identifier:

Even without an account, the Application assigns an anonymous session identifier on first launch to enable basic functionality and future account linking. This identifier contains no personal information, is not shared with third parties beyond the cloud services listed below, and is permanently deleted when you use Delete Account or uninstall the Application.

Data you provide (optional account):

Idle Legacy offers an optional account system for cloud save and PvP features. Creating an account requires:

• Email address
• Display name (chosen by you)
• Game progress data (era, civilization, prestige count, research state)
• PvP empire snapshot (power stats used for asynchronous leaderboard matching)

No account is required to play. Without an account, all progress is stored locally on your device only and we collect no personally identifiable information beyond the automatically collected data listed above.

We do not collect precise location data. We do not use Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies to process your personal data.

Online & Offline Play

The Application is designed to work fully offline. Core gameplay requires no internet connection. Online connectivity is used only for:

• Account creation, sign-in, and cloud save synchronization
• PvP Clash matchmaking and leaderboard updates
• Daily quest verification (when an account is active)

Advertising Identifiers

iOS (Apple IDFA): We request access to the Identifier for Advertisers (IDFA) via the App Tracking Transparency prompt at first launch. If you consent, ads may be personalized. You can change this any time via Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking.

Android (Google AAID): Google AdMob uses the Android Advertising ID (AAID) for advertising purposes. You can opt out via Settings → Google → Ads → Delete advertising ID.

In jurisdictions requiring consent (EEA, UK, Switzerland), the Application uses Google's User Messaging Platform (UMP) to collect consent before showing personalized ads.

Third-Party Services

The Application integrates with the following third-party services, each governed by their own privacy policies:

• Google Play Services
• Google AdMob
• Google Analytics for Firebase
• Firebase Crashlytics
• Supabase (authentication, cloud save synchronization, and PvP data — supabase.com/privacy)
• Apple App Store & StoreKit
• Sign in with Apple (optional account creation)
• Google Sign-In (optional account creation)

Only the minimum necessary data is transmitted to these services. We do not sell your data to third parties.

How We Use Your Data

• To operate the Application and deliver its features
• To sync your save data across devices (account users only)
• To power asynchronous PvP matching (account users only)
• To serve and measure ads via Google AdMob
• To diagnose crashes and improve stability via Firebase Crashlytics
• To analyze gameplay patterns and improve the Application via Firebase Analytics. Events tracked include gameplay milestones (era advances, prestige resets), feature engagement (research unlocks, ideology choices), and ad interactions. No personally identifiable information is attached to these events.

Opt-Out Rights

• Play without an account to avoid account-linked data collection entirely.
• Uninstall the Application to stop all data collection.
• Adjust advertising tracking at the OS level (instructions above).
• Submit a data deletion request to kbsoft.support@gmail.com, use the Delete Account option in the Application (Settings → Account → Delete Account), or submit a request via the Delete Account form on our website.

Your Rights (EEA, UK, and applicable jurisdictions)

If you are located in the European Economic Area, United Kingdom, or another jurisdiction with applicable data protection laws, you have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you
• Request correction of inaccurate data
• Request deletion of your data ("right to erasure")
• Request restriction of processing
• Request data portability in a machine-readable format
• Object to processing based on legitimate interests

Data Retention

Account data is retained while your account is active and for a reasonable period thereafter. To request deletion of your account and all associated data, email kbsoft.support@gmail.com, use the Delete Account option in the Application (Settings → Account → Delete Account), or submit a request via the Delete Account form on our website. We process requests within 7 business days. Local device data (saves, settings) is removed when you uninstall the Application.

Children's Privacy

The Application is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly solicit or collect personal data from children under 13. If we become aware that such data has been collected, we will delete it promptly.

Security

We use industry-standard technical and organizational measures — including encrypted transit (TLS) and Supabase Row-Level Security policies — to protect your data. No method of internet transmission is 100% secure.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. Continued use of the Application after changes are posted constitutes acceptance.
